Transitional Kindergarten/Early Elementary Program
Our Transitional Kindergarten/Early Elementary program began in the Fall of 2017! This intensive school readiness program consists of small group instruction in an inclusive setting. This program is aligned with the Common Core Curriculum for ages 2-18. The curriculum will intensively focus on increasing social, communication, and daily living skills for at-risk youth, learning disabilities, and children with ASD. This program will give your child the extra school experience and teach them appropriate classroom behaviors, that are required to have a successful school experience! Hourly Intensive Therapy Program
In our Hourly Intensive Therapy Program, ABA therapeutic sessions will be led in a 1:1 environment by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA). Opportunities for group activities and social interactions with peers will be coordinated if that is appropriate for the client. Programs will be continually supervised by a BCBA and LP/LPA based off on the Behavior Analyst Certification Board's ethics and guidelines for services. The specialized treatment plan and service delivery model will be based off the client's current functioning level and recommendations of the overseeing BCBA. This program has available session times 9 am to 12 pm, 12 pm to 3 pm, 3 pm to 6 pm, 3 pm to 5 pm, and/or 4 pm to 6 pm on Mondays through Fridays. In our Hourly Intensive Therapy Program within the TK/EE program, your child will participate in the daily classroom routine with their 1:1 ABA therapist. Your child's 1:1 ABA therapist will specifically target critical skill sets for increase/decrease. The RBT/BCBA will also contrive situations to target specified goals and reinforce as necessary leading to an increase in age appropriate behavior. This program is extremely unique to each student's needs and their program is created to help them reach their maximum potential! This is a great model for children who are showing interests in social interactions, communication with peers, and group activities! Social Skills Group
In our Social Skills Groups, staff will utilize ABA to increase your child's age appropriate social skills through a variety of play and group activities. The social skills groups are held once a week over a span of 10 consecutive weeks. Before beginning our social skills program, the lead BCBA will work with you and your child to determine what specific social, play, and communication skills will be targeted for each child, while still working in a group setting. Over the 10 weeks, parents will receive detailed reports and strategies to use at home to help their child be successful in family functions and with their siblings. We have had many students make lasting friendships at The Cardinal Center! We're excited to help more children to learn to develop and maintain friendships with their peers! Starting Fall 2017, we will have two social skills groups - one focusing on beginning social and play skills and the other focusing on more advanced social skills.
